Part of our service is to provide the right staff to assist you in the right way. Our Criminal Department very much works as a team, inputting their expertise to guarantee that your case receives quality attention. All our work is supervised by Mr. Hugh Pond, who is Head of the Criminal Department.

Please Contact Us for assistance.

We specialise in serious cases and have extensive experience of representing clients charged with murder, conspiracies, drug trafficking, sexual crimes and Customs and Excise.

We believe that our service should extend beyond the office. That is why we offer you, the client, legal representation for every aspect of your case. In the Criminal Department this may include:-

The Police Station

Everyone is entitled to free advice and assistance if they are questioned by the police. We can ensure that you are represented, as our service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Custody Suite at the police station retain personal telephone numbers for all members of our criminal department, so we are easily contacted, both in and out of office hours. Alternatively, clients can contact us at the office if they are scheduled to be interviewed by the police on a given date.

The Magistrates Court

If the police charge you with an offence, then the Magistrates Court will be where your proceedings begin. At Pond Marsh, we attend the Magistrates Court on a daily basis. We will provide legal representation for you at every stage during this process. The majority of cases before the Magistrates and Youth Courts qualify for public funding and does not cost you anything.

The Crown Court

If your case is to be dealt with at the Crown Court, then we will advise and prepare the case for you. A barrister will be instructed on your behalf who will give the matter their full attention.
